It's the second year since Alice Black and Kanni Merrane had came to Clarissa Institute to learn how to train their abnormal powers. The two, along with Kaleb and Premidas, had overcome the rebirth of Remus and the return of Alice's godfather Gabriel. Perhaps they will over come everything this year with difficult or not...

Kanni

"Ah. Mr. Anthen, good to see ya again." Daniella, the new nurse from London Prem heard about, greeted him as he sat up and switched on the TV. He could breathe again and felt strangely relaxed, as if he had slept soundly for days and now was awakening refreshed and better than new. "Uh...thanks."
"Had ya a pretty bad thing goin' there. You got medical problems or something?"
Premidas blinked. Medical problems? "You besides being an animagus? No."
"No?" Daniella echoed. "No heart problems or anything? At any time, ever?"
   "No. Why?"
"You nearly had a heart attack, therem youngin'. Nearly killed you if Madame Lunna weren't such a good nurse. And it turns out you had internal bleeding, which is why you coughed up blood. But don't worry, it's all better now. We'd like to keep you today but tomorrow you're free to go if ya like."
"But I coulnd't breathe...what kept me alive long enough for her to reach me?"
"That friend of yours...Miss Merrane? Yea. Purple hair? That's her. She had to do CPR. Not too squeamish, that girl is. I know anyone else would've made second thoughts and maybe had you die before they did mouth-to-mouth. But you're all right now. Good as new, don't worry about it anymore."
   "That's fast."
"It's the beauty of paranormal healing, honey." Danielle smacked her gum loudly and then turned on her heel carrying blood-stained sheets under her arm. Premidas cocked his head and then sighed, switching on the T.V. It was Tom and Jerry, his favorite show when he was little...before the accident. No, before the murder! Ever since the subway he had his childhood robbed from him. And he hated those who stole his father's life. It was not theirs to take! He wanted to hunt them down...hunt them down and take back what they had stolen....make them pay with their lives.
   "Premidas?"
Prem's eyes shot up to see Kanni walking down the hall, a consticted expression on her face. Her purple silver-streaked hair was tied into a high bun and her violet green-flecked eyes were drowned with worry. But he couldn't help but to smile. She had saved his life...never had he thought anyone would do that for him. Most people wouldn't care if he died in the middle of the hallway...even thought if it were him trying to save them he would've done anything to save them...and he didn't know what'd he do with himself if he allowed anyone to die.
"Are you okay? They wouldn't let me see either of you until now." Kanni had her hands behind her back, looking stressed.
"'Either of us'?" Premidas echoed. "What do you mean?"
"Alice is in here too ya know! She had some sort of attack...and it sounds too familiar to be true." Kanni's voice was low and grave now.
   "Rem-?"
"Maybe." Kanni quickly cut him off. "Well, now that I know you're okay, I've got to get to class. Mr. Roberts is expecting me in World History in about five minutes and the class is all the way at the other side of campus. I'll check in on you later, okay? Then maybe they'll finally let us see Alice as well. I swear, some day that girl'll give me a heart attack just worrying about her..." the milthacti grumbled as she waved and briskly headed out the doors. She left as quickly as she came.
"Alice?" Premidas repeated in disbeleif. He glanced at the bed next to him which had their curtain tightly drawn and sometimes he heard someone gag from within. Alice...What in the hell had gone wrong this time?! Couldn't anyone get peace around here? He worried so much about those two...They were so important, so powerful...he should know, he had gotten full blast of it once. And compared to them he felt so weak...and so useless. He was a strong animagus, but compared to them he could offer nothing. He couldn't help them, much less protect them from what was coming...And he felt dirty and guilty, because he couldn't give them a head's-up even though he knew of the fate they'd soon both meet.

Alice

"No, please god...Not this pain again..." Alice found it impossible to sleep with the comforting breeze that swept through, twisting in the nitemares that replaced any happy thoughts. It felt cruel to blame this all on herself for being what she was, finally relizing herself that this was a plague from Ve'Carta. She hadn't said anything about Ve'Carta to anyone, sitting up to here murmuring from the bed next to her to hear Premidas, talking in his sleep about the inceddiant that took the lives of loved ones. Alice soon buried her face into her hands wanting to wake up to find this all as a bad dream. It wouldn't happen, not in a life time. Someone could than be heard moving through the dorm, shoes clicking against the marble as grunting could be. Perhaps it was just Snoop and Madame Lunna yet Alice found herself to be incorrect; Kaleb and Snoop were here, trying to locate Alice's bed until the boy came across the open curtains to watch the shape-shifter rub with eyes with much sleep. His eyes suddenly becane steely, his voice firm as he hissed, "What happened now? Merlin told me nearly everything that happened to you! Alice...can't you stay out of harm's way for once?"
"Do you think I did to myself on purpose?" She asked, watching his eyes widened to see the amount of blood that stained the palms of her hands. "I-I can't die Kaleb! He's killing me and I can't do anything about it all! H-he was just there when I couldn't breath, people were looking for me and they couldn't find me! I've only b-been vomiting my life away! Ve'Carta, he's back to rule after Remus, Kaleb! I can't do this anymore...not after last year..."
Not much in the dorm had changed in the room except for Alice then lurched forward to cough more, being laid back down on the bed by Kaleb after several minutes of whispering hopes this her. A figure behind Kaleb had just then sat up from the bed, asking, "Don't you ever wish that we could help them somehow, even though we both now it's nearly impossible?"
"Ve'Carta, Premidas. It doesn't matter now for this battle is beyond us...I just can't watch Alice pull herself into something that might kill her, along with Kanni..."
[Srry that it's REALLY short. Might not post in days due to a bazaar so I just wanted to post something to keep you busy. XD]

Kanni

  ((okies. *being kept busy* lol))

Premidas had dreamed of them again...of his father and his sister, Cari...Damn. Even after nearly six years be still awoke in their rememberance, drenched in a cold sweat.... It had been a cold night and they had gone out to the movies. His mother had another date with her best friend and had gone out to dinner with some of the girls, leaving Mr. Anthen and the children to do as they pleased that night. Mrs. Anthen was an alcoholic and not around much, so no one really missed her abscence. Anyways, how could one miss what he never even knew?
They were coming back from their movie--some alien attack movie--and were going to take the subway home because Mrs. Anthen took the red convertible car. They all got on the subway and almost instantly Premidas could tell something was wrong. Some strangely dressed people were posted in every corner of the subway car, all shooting each other glances. What happened next was too fast....
Suddenly everyone was screaming and dropping to their knees as gun shots rang out. They were all crying, pressed against the floor as the hijackers took over. Mr. Anthen refused to cower behind the seats and rushed one of them. That particular hijacker was young, maybe only in his teens, and shot wildly at the man. After three shots tore through Mr. Anthen, each jolting him with the impact, the man finally fell and gurgled up blood before dying. And then Cari screamed and began to sob uncontrollably, making Mari look the other way so she wouldn't see what happened.
But it was already too late for Prem...He had seen it all and not his eyes enlargened, glued to his bloody father's corpse. It was too late to protect him. The car began to pick up speed and Cari hugged both children, telling them she'd always be with them even if they weren't able to see her as normal. BAM! The sub jumped the track on a turn and the whole thing went sliding and twisting. Premidas was puched against a seat with Mari by Cari, and her body not only blocked all the rubble and pain but also the horrifying sight. But the screams and crying were enough for Prem. He knew exactly what was going on....People were dying.
The next thing he knew the car came to a stop and he, Mari, and a few other passengers were the only surviors of the freak hijack. Cari didn't make it...her body was nearly torn to shreds...nothing left. Premidas couldn't even see the features on her face, it was too mutilated...The doctors healed their wounds and then Prem had to live with his mother, who was not at all happy of having their responsibility shoved onto her. But Premidas was only ten, and Mari had turned five a few months ago--the mother had to care for them.
Premidas shuddered at the memory. Kaleb had been watching him for some time now, and by the look on the boy's face Prem could tell he knew exactly what he was thinking about. Premidas softly smiled. "I know it's past us, Kaleb...but since when did I ever care?"
   Kaleb weakly grinned. "Never."
   "Exactly."

Kanni dumped her books on her dest, furious with herself. She had gone after classes to try to visit Alice once more but was denied again. Then she did her homework, wanting to return to the hospital wing after but she had steeply underestimated her teachers. They had piled her so high with work she couldn't see over the top of the text books stacked before her. A thick folder of written-on paper was to her right and Kanni finally, and very gladly, tossed her pencil into her desk jour. She was finally done with all the assignments, and now it was twelve midnight. There was no way they'd let her into the hospital to see Alice or Premidas at this time.
Then she wondered where Kaleb was. Hadn't he heard that Alice was back in the hospital? Wouldn't he have gone to see her? The milthacti grabbed two small meat cubes and dropped them into Rothen's cage even though he was already sleeping. She was much too tired to do anything but crash now. So she slid out of her clothes, threw on a mis-matched pajama and crawled into bed, almost instantly drifting off to sleep.

Alice

   (For what? o0)
"Morning, sunshine!" It was the words Alice only expected to hear from Gabriel in the room that school had rented to her, not in the hospital wing by Daniella, the new nurse from London who seemed to be content with herself to then finding the shape-shifter lurching forward for the bucket, turning pale to empty her stomach once more. The plague had been beginning to erase Alice's thoughts no longer recognizing the light taken in from the large windows until Alice studied it for several minutes. It was now feeding on her, yet Daniella didn't seemed worried and pulled the curtains from the bed opened to clean off the blood sheets. There was something different about the nurse's behavior that the shape-shifter spent several minutes on to decide what had happened. Alice pulled the silverish hair from her eyes, sliding away from the coiled sheets that the nurse took, humming a verse of a song. Suddenly Alice found herself to be lifted off of the bed by Gabriel who had a serious glint in his eyes, studying the condition of Alice to suddenly embrace his godchild. Something had happened, yet Alice didn't know what it was.
Her head still buzzed with the abnormality of someone flowing through her slowly losing grip on it all. The power only swam gently through Alice, unlike yesterday. The adults had just then stood up from their chairs and left without so much of a word giving concern to the shape-shifter. Alice couldn't say anything really, pressing her face against her knees that were drawn up to find Snoop seated on the floor at the foot of the bed. They didn't want Alice to leave, perhaps to only get herself into more of the trouble that Gabriel and Clarissa had been telling her and now Alice felt stupid for not even listening to either one of them. This had been all of Alice's fault, or so she felt. Something still flowed through the frame to search for a weakness in Alice, to try and tear her apart once more. "Alice?" Two eyes was watching the shape-shifter from the next bed as Alice cover her mouth to feel blood being coughed up. Premidas was here too, sitting up in his own bed to watch her coil the sheets around the bloody hands.
He had also gotten hurt and Kanni wasn't even here. Yet Alice continued to cough feeling more pressure on her chest trying to listen to whatever Premidas had been saying. There was too much happening with herself, just too much. Then Alice found several lamps burning out with a loud pop, feeling the pressure relieve itself. Snoop hadn't stirred, snoring away gently as the shape-shifter reached for her clothes to suddenly feel another sharp stab at her, continuing. Alice quickly slipped on jeans and a shirt, forgetting shoes and soon enough stood up from the bed to hear Premidas swear madly, attempting to convince Alice to stay where she should be. Yet the pain stabbed more, as if warning Alice of something that she had no courage to follow.
"You won't be leaving any time soon, Alice...Oh, what do I smell? A animagus, two of them infact. How interesting, how very interesting..."
The shape-shifter collasped back onto the bed to feel a nurse battle Alice back onto the bed, recieing numorous amounts of injuries as Alice felt herself loose a grip on the world once more, feeling slightly humourous to find Daniella shaking her head.
"She should be alright in the morning, I promise you yet these bulbs must stay on..."

((school potluck....kindda like a big school grill-out where everyone brings a dish to help contribute....^^ We brought cherry pie and german choco vanilla-wafer cake!! and then kelsey and i got fletcher to push us on the merry-go-round right after we ate....*i don't think i need to spell out for you of what happened then* ^^;;;;))

Alice was struggling against Nurse Daniella and then suddenly fell limp into the sheets. Premidas turned his gaze away when Daniella shot him a meaningful look and ripped the curtain closed. He turned on his side and rested his head on his pillow with a deep sigh. Poor Alice...this school meant only misery and death to her. And then to his surprise he found himself wondering whether she should have ever come back here. Maybe she should change schools...if it meant her safety and life?

Alice

"It's useless, Clarissa. The girl will die and we cannot allow Le'Carta to return. Do you not remember what he had done to this school during the attacks of Remus? The man was a strong supporter of the dark arts and we simply cannot allow this girl to live any longer with this."
"Agnes, you don't understand...This girl has so much to live for and I will not allow anyone to kill one of my students without a chance at first. Just give Miss Black another day, then you can decide what you shall do. In the mean time I'd appreciate if you'd try your own efforts in bring my student back to normal health, Agnes."
It wasn't as much pain as before to listen to voices without the ability to speak to whatever you thought, yet Alice found it amusing to hear these voices that were even located in the dorm. The power still swam through her, finding it as amusing as well. The shape-shifter had even tried to shift into several forms without success except to feel her skin grow with scales and then smooth out with the normal human skin. For several moments Alice could hear whispers in the next bed between who seemed to be Premidas and Kaleb. Oh, how she swore to herself to become well soon to finally leave this evil place and continue with a normal life. This Le'Carta would wish that he had never dared to try and kill Alice.
The first attempt was to follow the story of cartoons that showed on the television above her, hanging from the wall. It had been about a cat chasing a mouse. Funny how Alice thought of herself as the mouse, always running from people who wanted her dead rather than alive. Daniella and several other nurses could be seen talking to Gabriel who had seemed to take a liking of sitting on Alice's bed to brush back the hair and listen to Daniella's theories as he did so. This was all misrable to be awake, yet not even noticed.
And then several minutes after the hour had passed Alice finally sat up with what seemed to be a jolt with the curtains pulled tight around her, as if she had jumped several hours from seeing Daniella brew the potion to now. Alice's head still buzzed with the abnormality. However, everything felt fine except for the ache that replaced the energy flowing through her. Alice was tired, and slightly dizzy from staying in bed for so long. The curtain was then pulled back by the shape-shifter to lean over off the bed, allowing her hair to fall out of it's pony. Bones felt numb and eyelids felt heavy.
"Alice?" It didn't take long for Alice to look up to find Premidas sitting up in the bed next to her, giving her a faint smile. "You shouldn't be getting up-Daneilla will be here in a moment! Sit back down, Alice!"
"Don't be so old!" Alice wiped her lips with the back of the hand to find old blood, asking herself how long she had been in this state. Stupid question really. The animagus thought differently and already sat up more in his bed, as if expecting for Alice to fall onto the marble floor. Alice would've done so if it hadn't been for the support of the stool next to her. "How long have I been like this? Feels like forever..."
"For a day and several hours..." He didn't say anymore, like he was almost afraid to say anymore to Alice. She didn't care. All Alice wanted to do was to find Kaleb to explain to him the new danger in this school. But how could she when ever bone in her body refused to work with her.
"You've gotten this far now, have you? You won't go any farther for I plans for you Alice...Yes, that I do and I plan to complete them! SIT BACK DOWN!"
"Get out of my head!" Alive threw her hands against her ears, hearing the demands and only continued to yell. It wouldn't stop until a farmilar light coiled around her arms once more. "No! Not again, get out of my head! LEAVE ME ALONE!"
"Just look how Premidas is staring at you, as if you were crazy. You don't want that now, do you? So give up child! NOW" Premidas had been staring at Alice as if she had been crazy.
   "It's not true..."
"Ah, now he raises an eyebrow. Crazy, he thinks."
   "Dammit that's not true!"
"Why deny it when it's only true child?"
   "He doesn't think I'm crazy!"
"Alice, calm down!" It was Kaleb now, both hands around her wrist to try and struggle them to the ground to avoid Alice from scaring her cheeks. The voices kept demanding things of her. To do the awful things that she would never forgive herself if she did them. They were impatient, they wanted to cause pain when they already were. Translucent.
Where Alice found herself was a mystery to all of a sudden be in another corridor of the school, infront of where Gabriel taught class. The voices were finally gone, but how did she get here? There was something else...the shape-shifter was feeling herself stand up, feeling perfectly alright to listen to Gabriel teaching a lesson of brewing. Figures. These was that sorrow tone in his voice, yet why had Alice appear here? Everything around her seemed normal, Alice even felt normal once more. The door had just then opened slightly. Alice jumped back, not wanting to be seen.
"I don't understand..." There was nothing to understand. The shape-shifter cowered away from the classroom, leaning against the opposite wall completely confused to here more people walk down the hall. Every year something bad had to hapen to her, yet Alice had no idea where to start with this one. People already thought that she was insane, so what difference would it make to tell more stories?

Kanni

 "Swing, swing...Swing, swing...."
"She will die, and you know it. It's Ve'Carta's virus! She'd got it, I tell ye! Do ya really wanna risk it 'a spreadin' to others? Ya know tha' Mr. Anthen don' look too good hiself, Daniella."
   "I don't understand..."

Strange voices...all around her. Kanni's eyes snapped open and, to her surprise, she found herself in her bed. Well, of course? Why wouldn't I be right where I left myself? Kanni nervously chuckled at her fear and felt the cold sweat beaded on her forehead and brow. She wiped it away with her sleeve and then crawled out of bed. The alarm clock read nearly 8:00 morning. School would start in half an hour! "God!" Kanni raced to the bathroom and got ready, taking a shower and throwing on a simple pair of fuzzy pink pants and a white hoodie. Her wet hair she had no time to dry so she coiled it into a wrap and pinned it with a clip; it was good enough.
The milthacti grabbed her books and pushed out the door after tossing two cubes of meat to her sleeping snake. She really hadn't had time for Rothen lately, had she? She'd have to catch up with him this afternoon at lunch. Maybe he even knew about what was going on with Prem lately. Kanni's first class was in Annikaology with Themrus again. The class was rather small and she even recognized some students from last year, waving at a few and took a seat.
Themrus plowed a hand through his dark sandy blonde hair and sighed. Snow glided outside the tall windows and fogged up the glass with frost, making it almost opaque. "Hello and welcom to Annikaology, a study of all mythical and paranormal creatures. I'm your teacher, Mr. Themrus. Let's begin then, shall we? I trust you read the first chapter in your books as I requested with a note at the first page...that is if you even opened it since you got it.
"If you haven't raise your hand please."
    No hands went up.
"Good! Glad to see it. Alright. Now who can tell me what the first chapter was about? Oru?"
    Kanni blinked.
"The first chapter was about centaurs, Mister. A human merged with a horse at their hips, having the horse's body from the neck down. They sometimes even have horns like rams, but not often. They live in forests and dislike humans or any other creature. They live in bands, hunt, trade, market, have polotics, but rarely interact with the outside world of their forest home." Oru's confident voice acknowledged.
"Very, very good Oru!" Mr. Themrus praised. "I see you understood the contents well enough." He then got up from the desk he had been sitting on and went behind it, resting both hands on the surface, eyeing the class intently. "Now, who can tell me how centaurs were origionally made? And I don't mean that, Mr. Farris! Of course they are born in...er...courtship, but how was the very first centaur beleived to have been created?" He waited a minute. "Anyone?"
Then Oru's hand lightly raised. "Yes, Oru? Do you think you know?"
"I-I think so. Well, they beleived that once a man and his horse were merged as a torture...They were the last of an defeated army but still defied the prevailing forces and wouldn't surrender...So, as punishment..." Oru gulped. "The horse's neck and head was cut off and put on a spoke, while the man was chopped from the hips down. They then merged the two: the man to the horse's body. And it was said to be very painful for they were not the same creature..."
"Yes, thank you Oru." Themrus then finished for her. "Did any one of you know that? Looks like little Miss Oru, a first year, is beating our second years. I suggest you keep up with her. If she can do my work, you will be expected to as well." Themrus smirked at the groans and Oru slightly blushed, sinking back into her chair, brushing some short dark--almost black--blue hair behind her ears, the forward slanted tips sliding against her chin.
Kanni shot a look back at the girl and then chewed on her pencil. What was Oru doing here? Wasn't this a second year class? She was the only first year here, and why? Themrus then pulled up a chart of centaurs and their habbitats and Kanni had to find some other time to ponder about Oru, for her hands were now forced to madly scribble down notes into her notebook.
After Annikaology she went to math--which she hated--, then to history of the paranormal world and their evolution, then to Mr. Ulthra with ancient magical language studies, and then finally to brewing with Gabriel. He seemed quite comfortable with the class now, sort of stern but still at ease. Kanni, without having Brige breathe down her neck all the time, actually managed to get two out of three potions correct, the third only being slightly off. Overall he said she was quite good at potions, she just needed to get used to the danger of a boiling and buggling caldron.
Lunch came. Finally. Kanni felt nearly drained, her arms tired from carrying around all those text books and her right hand was numb from all the scribbled notes. She went and got a quesadilla from the food court and headed up to her room. Inside she dumped her books on her bed and flopped into a bean-bag chair nestled in the right corner by the glass porch door.
   "Rothen? You awake?"
"Of courrssse." Rothen hissed and she could see his green form slightly move from within the cage. She let him out of his containment and watched as he slithered happily around the room to re-explore all her things and suitcases. "I misssed you while you werrrre gggone."
"I missed you too. It's just I don't think my parents would have...understood...a talking snake."
   "I underrssstand."
"Hey, Rothen? Can I ask you something?"
   "Of courrrssse."
"Premidas has been acting strange lately...would you happen to have an "snakely" insight on the matter? He won't tell me anything. Kaleb seems to know something, but I'm not sure."
"Prrremidasss...Augh...Of all people to llleave me with, you had to llleave me wwith hiiim?"
   "Rothen, I'm serious."
"Yess...He hasss collapsssed a few timess in hiss room, coughed up blood, gotten into fightsss, and his powerssss have been quite random lately."
"Powers? You mean transforming?" Kanni asked, settling back into the bean-bag chair.
"Well, yesss...those too. But hissss other powersss."
"Other powers?" Kanni echoed. "What other powers?"
"Powersss that can mooove thingsss and make them catch fire or become water..."
     "WHAT?!"

Alice

(Srry I didn't write over the weekend, busy with going to several towns that are like hours away! But now I can write!)
"Miss Black!" The shape-shifter wanted to be alone in her own room, hands covering her ears to block out any other sound. Alice didn't feel right, more like infected to the point where this wasn't even her own body. As if she was the plague that swept through people. Several pictures on the wall shook their head with disapprovement as Alice swept things to the side and against the wooden door where Themrus fought against to open. She didn't want anymore excuses that would give her facts, she wanted to know everything that was happening with herself. To know something was happening and didn't know why it was had been something that Alice didn't want to be stuck with. "If you do not open this door Alice, it will been serious consquences!" The words didn't change the dull look Alice placed on the door. The items still stood against it with great force. Themrus spoke again, "Alice! If you let me in I can help you. I understand this all now but if you just listened than we wouldn't even be in this mess for once!"
Wrong. The words now only gave Alice a new found hatred against the man, seated on her bed and examining the color that coiled around each slender finger. It now seemed to only happen when Alice felt depressed or threatened, but why? This should've happened last year then or did Remus really leave Alice with powers to evolve over the summer? Another chair smashed against the door from the inside. It all only made Alice feel worse to be alive, why couldn't this all just go away? Why couldn't she had just forgotten it all and left alone with it to continue her life with normality?
(I've got to go now and catch my bus! ^^; Don't want to be late!)

Kanni

"He can do what?!" Kanni asked incredulously, for a second thinking her snake was joking, but as it gravely repeated what it said she was convinced.
"He can change things to water or fire. Got a few nasty burns on himsssself that way, but he didn't ssseeem to carrrre...." Rothen paused a minute. "And he ssseemss to like moooving thingsss...he practices mooving thingssss a lot..."
"Well, that's his telekenisis. Tell me, what's the largest object he moved? Do you know?"
"He moved hissss bed once, looking for a cd...."
"What? But he told me his telekenisis was weak, and that all he could lift was a mug!" Kanni was getting angry. Why didn't he tell her any of this? Was it that he didn't trust her? "Rothen, what else has he been doing that seems strange?"
Rothen suddenly got a secretive glint in his eyes. "One thing I swore to him not to tell, and a second I promised not to even whisper. Especially to you."
"Wha-?! ROTHEN! Tell me!" Kanni jumped to her feet but the little green snake had already slithered under her bed. "Rothen! This isn't fair!"
"Would ittt be any more fffair if I went back on my word and tttold you?" Rothen asked, and then hastily answered, "We snakesss mossst certantly do not go back on our worrrdsss..."
"But, just tell me this, is he hurt in any way?"
Rothen was silent. Kanni waited for him to answer but then realized his silence was enough. There was something wrong with him, wasn't there? "Rothen? What's wrong with him?" Still silence. Finally the snake hissed, "I am not sssure...I mean, I am nottt sssure if anything isss indeed wrong with the animagusss at all..." Kanni dropped back to her knees and glanced at her clock, seeing her lunch time was almost done.
"Why, Rothen? Why won't he tell me anything anymore? It's like I'm his enemy now." Kanni got back to her feet and then sigh, gathering her needed books in her arms and headed out the door. "You can crawl around, just don't leave the room, go on the porch, or make a mess, okay? I'll be back after classes."
     "Okkkay..."
Kanni pulled the door shut behind her, striding down the slowly filling hallways. She was off to regular Language Arts now. So far she didn't have any homework, which was good, for she planned to visit Alice in the hospital after classes to ask her about Premidas. And, of course, to see how Alice herself was doing. She was worried about the girl. Much more worried about her than herself. In fact, nothing really went wrong if you didn't count the strange dreams and voices in her head. She shook the thoughts from her head when she entered the halls. Language Arts was the last door on the right.
"Hey Kanni!" Oru walked by and waved.
"Hey. Where are you going now?"
     "To potions."
"Oh. Have fun then! You know the guy teaching it is Alice's god-father?"
"Really? How interesting. This'll be fun then." Oru briskly side-stepped another student who was nearly charging down the halls with anger. Kanni turned her attention back to her class and took a deep breath, readying herself for another three hours of school before break and dinner finally came. After all, with both Alice and Prem in the hospital, and since she had most of their classes, she was assigned to take notes for them. Kaleb was to take notes for Prem as well. He and Prem, after all, were a grade higher than Alice and Kanni and had a few different classes. So Kanni didn't carry all the burden by herself, but most of it. "You both better get outta the hospital and stay out, or else I'll use my acheing hand to teach you both a lesson," Kanni snorted to herself, actually finding the fact of landing a punch into Prem's cheek kindda funny.
